Reorganization of the Access to the Güell Park – Public Space

The reorganization of the space in front of the entrance to the Guell Park, delimited by the Carmel Road, is an opportunity to reconsider a fragment of city with great potential through the reorganization of the edification and the system of green spaces.

Improving access was the most important issue to be dealt with. The proposal reorganizes the vehicular and pedestrian circulation systems and offers badly needed parking spaces for residents as well as for tourist coaches. It also proposes areas for shops and restaurants for the neighbourhood and to also to support the large number of tourists.

Above all, a maximum area of green space and a minimum impact of the presence of the tourists on the surroundings are achieved through a careful working of the topography and the roofs of the parking areas.
